Summer is in the air- well, almost. It is in my thoughts and in my usual manner I have started to dream of what could be. These are not real plans (yet) but hey, who says you can’t dream up the reality you want. Here goes, my wish list for summer is:
1. To go paragliding in Brighton

2. Visit Paris!!!
Oh this dream! I see myself at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, I see myself on it! I see myself strolling down the Champs Elysees at night! I see myself at 24 Rue Faubourg- the address on all my perfume bottles (ok maybe not all- but most). I can almost taste the macaroons at Laduree! Oh my! “See Paris and LIVE”- LOL, you know I can’t say ‘see Paris and die’, I understand the power of words, so even when they are cliché, I choose to speak life.

3. Shop! Shop!! Shop!!!
Truth be told, I am a really lazy shopper but I have plans! When (not if) I get to the La Vallee, I will wear flat shoes that are comfortable and allow me move around easily, I will have a smoothie before I go and pack a few bananas in my bag. LOL, you are wondering what all that has to do with shopping right? The reason I don’t like shopping, is I get hungry and tired, my feet start to ache after walking about for a bit and really, when I have too many choices, I get overwhelmed and cannot decide. That’s why I have narrowed it down to these two (psst! don’t show the husband this part of the post, he might never take me to Paris if he sees these):
Having said that though, I have a new romance with the Birkin which started when I was down with malaria recently. I am trying to form the habit of reading a book every week, I currently only manage a book every 10 days and though I was ill, I did not want to break the habit (I find that this is the hard part for me, not starting but staying consistent to what I’ve started so as much as possible, I try not to allow myself the luxury of excuses). Anyhow, because I was ill, I wanted something light and entertaining and so I downloaded “Bringing Home the Birkin” by Micheal Tonello. It was a really fun hilarious read, you should pick it up when you want to be thoroughly entertained while learning something new about something that you would not normally know a lot about- if, like me, you are not seriously into fashion.
Oh, and the next item would be:

There! You have my summer wish list. It’ll be nice for them to happen sooner rather than later, but in the interim, writing this post, sourcing the pictures and even thinking about what I’d like, was great fun! Makes it all feel real and do-able. I’ll keep you posted when they do happen! Let me know if you hear of deals on any of the above and tell me, do you know what you want? (I will talk about knowing what you want from a more serious, leadership perspective soon, it is absolutely important. Clarity propels action, while uncertainty, leads to inaction). Ok, share your wish list with me, just because! Don’t forget to be awesome this week!
