Hello you! You know how sometimes you’ve tried all that you know to do and nothing seems to be working? You are physically and mentally exhausted and you just have to throw your hands up and say, “Lord, I have come to the end of myself! If You don’t help me I can’t help myself!” Well, I have been there and back and while there, I remembered a poem my Dad made me memorize as a child. Thinking about it made me think of you, if you need encouragement or  know someone who does, this is for you! Enjoy “Let Go and Let God”!

LET GO & LET GOD- Author Unknown

As children bring their broken toys

With tears for us to mend

I took my broken dreams to God

Because He was my friend

But instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone,

I hung around and tried to help with ways that were my own

At last I snatched them back and said

“How can you be so slow?”

“My child” He said

“What could I do? You never did let go!”

I encourage you to let go and let God! Surely the One who tells the oceans thus far and no more, the One who tells the sun where to hide till the morning, who owns the earth and its fullness thereof, the One who clothes the lilies in the field so beautifully, the One whose eyes are even on the sparrow, the One who spoke a word and spoke creation into being, and on that one word alone, creation continues to be! Surely, that One can make all things beautiful again! Let go & let God!

  1. This is a beautiful peace. It came when I needed it most. Most times we want to play God instead of allowing God to do His will.
